OJSC "HMS Pumps" constantly and systematically carries out production activities directed on creation of new pumps and pumping equipment and on modernization of pumps which are produced in lots.
The creation of new pumps and pumping equipment and also modernization of existing series of pumps became the priority tendency in the innovative activities of OJSC "HMS Pumps" in 2007 year on the basis of marketing research information. Innovations have allowed HMS Pumps to increase the scope of sales of the products thanks to broad coverage of the major part of the market place of pumping equipment.
  Since 2008 year OJSC «HMS Pumps» actively develops new production line, namely, pumps and pumping equipment for atomic engineering. We obtain necessary licenses for design and manufacture of electric pump units for nuclear stations.
The line of new standard sizes of the pumps and units for application at the nuclear power stations has been elaborated. In connection with existing constant demand for semi-submersible pumps, in 2007 year special practical jobs were completed on creation of pilot sample of single-screw pumping unit N1V 60/100-10/100, Design Documents for pumping units N1V 120/25-16/20 were worked out, production of semi-submersible pumping units N1V 14/80, N1V 20/10 for pumping-out leaks of petroleum from drainage reservoirs was mastered.
Production of submersible single-screw pumps EVNOP 5-30-1200, VNO 25-1200, VNO 10-1500 for extraction of oil was developed.
In view of the fact that during the period since 2006-2009 years in the territory of Russian Federation the oil companies planned to construct a number of large oil terminals and also to modernize the existing ones (the design carrying capacity should increase by approximately 7 times: 140 million of tons of petroleum products per year) in 2007 year the jobs were carried out to expand the series of two and three-screw units with a purpose of ensuring more greater productivity and pressure at the outlet port.
So, design works on further improvement of multiphase two-screw pump A5 2VV 250/25-200/20 rated for differential pressure of 20 bar when handling water at a delivery of 200 m3/h and for differential pressure of 25 bar at a delivery of 250 m3/h when handling petroleum.
Also, modernization of multiphase pump of A5 2VV 160/40 was mastered for the purpose of increasing its consumers' properties and with a view to develop new revised design of two-screw pump of standard industrial manufacture rated for delivery of 160 m3/h and differential pressure of 40 bar.
The two-screw pump 2VV 400/20 of standard industrial manufacture was mastered for handling petroleum products. Its deliveries to customers have been already begun.
Design Documentation for two-screw pump 2VV 500/16 of standard industrial manufacture for handling petroleum products has been developed. As far as the three-screw pumps are concerned, production of semi-submersible drainage unit 3V 8/160-12/100 was mastered on the basis of the pump A1 3V 8/160 and was made for OJSC "Gidromontazhkomplekt" t. Saint-Petersburg. With a purpose of expanding the sales in the market places, on the basis of gear pumps NMSH 8-25-6,3/25B produced in lots, production of gear pumps for handling petroleum products with a temperature of up to 200 °С was also mastered.
As far as the impeller pumps (rotodynamic pumps) are concerned, in 2007 year the work was carried out on designing diesel pumping stations DNA on the basis of the pumps of 1D, which modification was effected on the sleds. The said pumping stations are in demand in regions difficult of access and without power supply (forestry, peat bed), for eliminating after-effects due to flooding, fire fighting, drainage, construction.
To meet the requirements of the market, the Design Documents for centrifugal pumps of type CNSn-180 were worked out. The prototype is being fabricated, the full-scale production - according to entrance of delivery orders. For pumping petroleum fuels, liquefied gases, sea-water and other liquids, special design of centrifugal-vortex self-priming pump ВS32х2 with two vortex stages has been worked out, provided proper version of the shaft seal and material of flow passage. Prototype models have been made, the registration of appropriate documents on its application in dangerous productions is performed.
For the purpose of improving the quality of the pumps K, 1K, KM, 2K, VK which are produced in lots and in order to expand their sales, the Design Documentation was reworked out regarding introduction of single end-face seals in their execution.
Also for the purpose of expanding the sales and first and foremost for ensuring vital functions at the using activities of the underground, in addition to the existing centrifugal monoblock pump CMF 50-25, provision is made for one more standard size CМF160-80.
During the current year the manufacture of a new standard size of sanitary pump SM125-80-315 foe waste masses has been already mastered. The quantity production of the vacuum pump VVN 1-3 has been added.
In addition to existing 4 standard sizes "Gnom", which are produced in lots, 2 standard sizes intended for great deliveries were introduced. They are: Gnom 40-25 and Gnom 53-10.
Also the pump Gnom 6-10 was put on production. Serial pump Gnom 10-6 is preferably suitable for a drainage, yet with increased head pressure and decreased delivery will be in demand for country sites. On the basis of a serial pump "Burun®", the new single-screw, submersible, sanitary pump intended for delivery of 3 m3/h and pressure of 4 kgf/сm2 and the food pump with the same parameters for handling food masses, oils, various jellylike substances were successfully created.
In 2007 year the works on creation of the automated stations for boosting pressure, namely ASPD, were continued in a complex with the pumps CNSl rated for delivery of 16 – 5 m3/h and other pumps, for example «К».
