Arranged within the cast-iron case are working members of the pump:
impeller executing reciprocating motions and two pairs of valves (the
intake and discharge valves). While the impeller is in motion the liquid
being handled is moved from the suction cavity into the delivery one. The
system of valves prevents the transfer of liquid in the opposite direction.
Liquid to be pumped:
Manual pump RK-2 is designed to pump fresh and sea water, petroleum
products and other liquids similar with water in physical properties and
chemical activity, having a temperature of up to 50°C and a kinematic
viscosity of up to 0,2*10-4 m2/s (up to 3,0°BY). The pump is put in
operation by applying human muscles' force; the said pump may be used in
industry, agriculture and for the domestic purposes.
