Design:
Pump VVN - vacuum, water-packed ring pump with a stuffing box seal of the
shaft. The pump consists of the following main parts, namely: cover, case,
disk, bracket, and shaft. When the disk revolves, water entrained by the
blades is forced by the centrifugal forces towards the walls of pump cover,
a ring of water being so formed. Rarefaction builds up in the space between
the working disk hub and inner surface of the water ring, causing gas to be
sucked in through the larger crescent-shaped cut-out in the pump case.
Further rotation of the working disk results in compression of the
sucked-in gas. Then the gas is discharged, along with excess water, through
the smaller crescent-shaped cut-out in the pump case into the delivery
branch pipe of the pump
